Piazze [In]visibili | Piazza Duomo, Milan

starting point for a shopping expedition, or a meeting place, now
that Milan is at a standstill, its cathedral reveals the sense of a
design that we passers-by or visitors, out-of-towners or
Milanese, were never able to grasp in our bustling insignificance.
It is the majestic centre of a harmony of marble and granite, a
chiaroscuro harmony that would evoke vanished foggy days or
old black-and-white postcards, if it weren’t for the extraordinary
